Life & Nail Polish

Today was an eventful day in the Anderson home! It started out
pretty lazy...Kristine watching a friends little girl and just hanging out at home. Then it was off to Wal-mart for groceries, with a stop at the ATM first, but Kristine forgot her debit card, so to Walmart anyway, but by the time we got there the girls were both asleep (and we never wake a sleeping child:). So I stayed in the van with the girls and soaked up some beautiful Texas sun with a nice breeze! It was a beautiful day outside! As we were leaving walmart the van started kind of hard (a light got left on yesterday and we had to jump it, but it should have been fine) so we decided to go back to the automotive and have them take a look, the battery needed replaced! So we woke up the girls carried them into Walmart and got a drink at the instore Mc'Donalds! Then picked up Alyssa from school, then picked up Ben(waited in the van again because Ben had a after school activity). Then home for super etc. While getting ready for super Ellie was wanting her toes painted (she had been asking all day), all of the sudden I heard a loud crash, the beautiful pink nail polish was dropped on the tile floor and was done for!!! The tears started and the clean up began!
This was not the exact nail polish, but the pink sparkles that went on top the solid pink
On other news....I watched Granger's church service online on Sunday night! It was a great message about "cow tipping" and removing some of those sacred things in our lives that are not necessarily bad things, but can become more than they should be, we were challenged to give something up for the week, that we depend on daily to "give us life" but are def. not the true life giver. So, I gave up facebook for the week.
I also got a call from Pioneer and will have a phone interview with them sometime within the next week or so. The job hunt continues though...

I have attached a few other pictures below of life these days....

Exactly 4 years ago I used to take Jenna and Ellie for walks in their double stroller in Virginia, now we go for bike rides!

Alyssa at her "play day" for Bible's and Bridles at Camp on her horse Captain!

Friends and Festivities...

My time with the Fryes was fun! It is always great catching up and seeing how the kids have grown!
Nolan

Chaille -she loves the camera!

Avery, Silas and Nolan in their costumes for the Harvest Ho-down at their church....Chaille was not up for a picture, but you can't really blame a 18mo. old for not wanting to stand still with 3 boys ;) I spent three days just doing life with the fryes....then I was....
"leavin' on a jet plane don't know when I'll be back again"

I flew out of Indy Sat. am and had a 3 hour lay-over in Tampa...nothing too thrilling there. I was actually able to sleep on the plane, dramamine was a good assistant :) Then I was off to Marble Falls via San Antonio!! Kristine and the girls picked me up and we were off to camp for dinner, but not without a quick stop at my favorite SONIC! :) ahhh...cherry-vanilla Dr. Pepper!! I know we now have sonic in the north, but not on every corner like we do here! So conveinent for an addict ;) It is so great to be with such great friends and just be able to live right along side of them! I was graciously included in their staff gathering at the Andersons house for Holloween while the kids went trick-or-treating in their neighborhood. It was a fun, low key, no stress event, so nice to experience. They all began planning how they could all "time-share" me and give me a full time job between them all :)

Ben ("nerf dude"), Jenna (ballerina), Ellie (fairy)

Monday's are Drink day at Sonics Happy hour for the Andersons!! Pick up the big kids from school, sonic, take Alyssa to voice lessons then home with Ben and the neighbor boy....but yesterday we had coupons for free cones....

Kristine is also "making" me read a fiction book. I do not really enjoy reading too much, and when I do it is mostly thought provoking books, or "christian help" books. She checked out the Redeeming Love for me at the church library and handed it to me! Told me I needed to let my mind escape for a little while...It is a big fat book (724 pages!!), but really becase is is big print, but I like giving her a hard time! :)
Kristine took my picture to capture the rare moment in my life :)
Today, Kristine is working so it is just the girls and I...we started the morning out with a little bike ride/run, to the park, but it was too wet, so we can home and played hide n' seek, and will go back to the park later! They are 2 sweet girls! So much FUN....

knowing HE has a plan...

Hitting the Road!

the awesome view out my moon roof!!

Gorgeous Drive!
I have arrived at my friends house near Indy. I will be visiting friends here for a few days before I get on a plane to Texas! It was a crazy windy drive down here, but a beautiful day otherwise for a drive! I do love small road trips, it's just something adventurous I guess :) I had lots of time to think about things, talk about things, and try to process things. Nothing fully processed of course, but I do think alot is behind me now. Physically driving away does  help sometimes!
Well, a few weeks ago I applied for a job at Grace College in their visitors center, I finally heard from them today via email that the position has been filled. I am a little disappointed, I thought that would have been the perfect job, but am grateful, that ultimatly HE holds the perfect plan and that job isn't part of it for now ;) So the hunt continues and this adventure has just begun!
I will post some pictures tomorrow of the first stage of the adventure :)

Not saying good bye

Well, the unknown adventure begins...today was my last day at camp and I started saying "see you later" to friends yesterday and today and have a few more to go. I am really not one for saying "good-bye", but rather "see you later". Tonight is my last night in my little "bungalow" and I will miss it, but before I leave tomorrow I will stop in the dinning hall one last time for some of Marcia's pancakes for breakfast! (they are the best!)
I am looking forward to heading to Texas for some time to just get away and be with more good friends. But before I get there I will be visiting more great friends near Indianapolis. I am blessed to have so many great friends that I get to live life with! This is my first blog as most of you know. My plan is to keep my long distance friends updated on my life and I am sure you will my random thoughts as well :) So, if you so desire check back for more updates to come!
